NEWS ESPON Stampa

Una nota informativa è disponibile online all'indirizzo www.espon.eu/digital-transition.

Lo studio consentirà alle Autorità europee, nazionali, regionali e urbane di comprendere e monitorare meglio i progressi del livello di digitalizzazione dei servizi pubblici, di fare benchmarking e di progettare azioni per il futuro. I risultati dello studio saranno resi disponibili nell'ottobre 2018 e saranno presentati durante la European Week of Regions and Cities.

ESPON Peer-Learning Workshops – Send us your policy needs!

The ESPON EGTC organises a series of peer-learning workshops for public authorities responsible for territorial development.

The workshops are designed to enable a rapid know-how transfer and can serve various policy needs based on the experience of stakeholders who were involved in ESPON targeted analyses.

The first of the peer-learning series was organised in Latvia in June 2018 to support the Riga Planning Region in designing Riga’s Metropolitan Action Plan. Delegates from the City of Oslo, Lille European Metropolis and City of Vienna have shared their know-how from the Targeted Analysis 'SPIMA – Spatial Dynamics and Strategic Planning in Metropolitan Areas'.

Just send us an email. If we can meet your expectations, we will organise the workshop securing the participation of your peers who had been confronted with the need for evidence before they benefitted of a ESPON targeted analysis.

ESPON shall organise 5 peer-learning workshops by the end of 2018. More at the ESPON Website.

Survey “Is your city going digital?”

The ESPON EGTC launched a survey to capture the level of digitalization of public services in European cities. The resulting study will allow to better understand and track the progress of the level of digitalisation of public services, to learn from others and to design actions for the future.

The survey is a continuation of the study that was launched last year, which gathered responses from 136 European cities and resulted in a policy brief “Territorial and Urban Dimensions of Digital Transition of Public Services”.

Main target group: city officials dealing with the provision of public services and ICT.

The results of the study will be available in October 2018 and will be used as inputs for discussions during the European Week of Regions and Cities.

The survey is available in five languages (EN, DE, FR, ES, IT). The closing date is Tuesday, 31 July 2018. Further details at the ESPON Website.

E-learning on the ESPON TIA web tool

Online, 4 and October 2018 – The aim of the e-learning is to raise awareness and demonstrate the added value of performing an ex-ante analysis of the potential impact and territorial effects of a specific EU LPD on the development of regions by checking all relevant indicators.

This e-learning consists of two webinars and is targeted to national, regional and local policy makers and practitioners from all ESPON countries, particularly those from Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Iceland, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway and Sweden.
